Assistant phone

The number your assistant answers on, and the numbers you forward to it.

Here you see which number your assistant answers on, and you enter your business numbers that you forward to it. When the assistant hands a call on to you is set in the Assistant settings instead.

Phone number

The card shows the state of this assistant's number:

  • Active: the number is set up and takes calls. It is shown below.
  • Setting up...: the number is being provided.
  • Releasing: the number is being given up.
  • Failed: setup didn't work. The reason is shown below.

If the assistant has no number yet, assign one under Phone numbers.

Release number gives the number up for good. To confirm, you type the number.

On the call: whoever dials this number talks to this assistant.

Phone numbers forwarded to FlowCaptain

If you forward the calls of your existing business number to your assistant, enter that business number here. Add number adds up to 10 numbers. How to set up the forwarding is under Phone number and forwarding.

On the call: on a forwarded call, the phone network sometimes shows your business number instead of the caller's. With your business number listed here, the assistant never mistakes it for the caller's number and asks when in doubt, rather than booking an appointment under your number.

Good to know

  • The numbers here count as your business's own. A call from one of them is not recognised as a caller, so don't test from there.
  • Release number cannot be undone.
